چکیده
RESULTS: The mean vault values after the first month were 349.93 μm. They remained stable during the first 24 months of the follow-up period, with a slight tendency to decrease at 36 months which was not statistically significant. We observed a reduction in the anterior chamber angle, depth and volume of 14.23°, 167 μm and 60.44 mm3, respectively. This reduction remained stable during the follow-up period. Linear regressions performed for anterior chamber angle, depth and volume in function of the vault generated R2 values of 0.12, 0.12 and 0.49, respectively.

Acetazolamide-induced bilateral choroidal effusion following insertion of a phakic implantable collamer lens.
PURPOSE To present the case of a 28-year-old man with acetazolamide-induced bilateral choroidal effusion after uneventful surgery of the second eye in delayed sequential bilateral insertion of an implantable collamer lens for hyperopia. METHODS Case report. RESULTS Surgery of the left eye was uneventful, and the implantable collamer lens was implanted 3 weeks later in the right eye. Twenty-...

Introduction: We report the case of a patient in whom simultaneous toric phakic intraocular lens removal and phacoemulsification with toric intraocular lens implantation were beneficial for reducing pre-existing astigmatism and acquiring good visual outcomes in eyes with implantable collamer lens-induced cataract and astigmatism. Case presentation: A 53-year-old woman had undergone toric implan...

Purpose: To evaluate efficacy, predictability and safety of the surgical correction of high myopia using the phakic posterior chamber implantable collamer lens. Design: A prospective, nonrandomized, non-comparative interventional case series. Participants: Twenty seven eyes of fifteen patients aged from 20 to 46 years having high myopia were included. Intervention: STAAR modified collamer impla...

Purpose. To evaluate the anterior segment, the anatomical position of the implantable collamer lenses (ICL), and its relationship to adjacent ocular structures using Ultrasound Biomicroscopy (UBM). Methods. In a prospective study, 142 myopic eyes of 93 patients implanted with Visian ICL were subjected to UBM examination between March 2010 and January 2015. The relative position of ICL to the ad...
